KUCHING: A total of 619 individuals were screened for Covid-19 as part of contact tracing for the Wisma Saberkas Cluster.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said a total of 16 people, including the index case, tested positive, including the five new cases detected involving the cluster, today.

“619 individuals were screened and of the total, 16 had tested positive, 593 negative, and 10 individuals still awaiting laboratory test results.”

For the Greenhill Cluster, which also saw an addition of one case today, SDMC said the total number of cases involving the cluster was 63, including the index case.

“A total of 730 individuals were screened and 63 had tested positive while 662 were negative and five still awaiting laboratory test results.”

SDMC said there were no additional cases to the Baki, Bah Arnab, and Seladah clusters in Kuching as well as the Putra Cluster in Bintulu.

“There are also no new clusters reported with a total of six active clusters in the state.”

Meanwhile, SDMC said Kuching remained a red zone with a total of 117 locally transmitted cases reported in the last 14 days. 

“Miri, Lundu and Limbang districts also remain yellow zones.

“This brings the total number of districts with red zone status to one, three with yellow zone status and 36 other districts in Sarawak remain green zones.”
