KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 62 government agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have set up their booths and are ready to welcome more than 6,000 attendees to the 15th edition of the Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS) 2024 programme tomorrow (Oct 19).
An observation by the Sarawak Tribune at the event venue, Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), on Friday showed that all the agencies are working hard to ensure their booths are presentable.
According to the Head of Promotion and Publicity Unit for Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2024 and Exco Sarawak Volunteers Iona Evinna Khanching Geruka, the event is open to all Sarawakians.
She said that it provides opportunities for employment, education, scholarships, and more, besides exhibitions showcasing products from Sarawak.
“I think the most anticipated programme would be the Kenyalang Career Initiative. It’s the first time it is being held. They will hand over job offer letters to those who are qualified,” she said.
Other programmes that will be held include the Sarawak Student Forum, Kenyalang Speaks, and more.
“We hope that everyone takes this golden opportunity to attend the programme, which runs from 8 am to 5 pm,” she added.
