The kindergarten children are told to move out orderly from a building to a safer place during the fire drill exercise.

BELADIN: Sixty-five people comprising three teachers, 25 parents and 37 kindergarten children participated in a fire drill exercise conducted by Betong Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) in collaboration with Tadika Sedidik Mutiara Beladin Tengah here, yesterday.

The exercise was meant to provide fire training to the people particularly children so that they know how to react in case of fire.

The participations were briefed on the dangers of fire, given demonstration of fire safety in building and shown the correct ways to put out fire using a fire extinguisher by two firefighters, PB Kussary Abd Latip and PB Abdul Kadir Sebie.

Operating Officer of Betong BOMBA, PBK I Henry Jugah when asked said children in kindergarten should be given early awareness on the importance of fire safety.

He also urged the management of other kindergartens to conduct the same programme.

The kindergarten children involved reacted positively to the fire drill exercise.
