LAWAS: A 66-year-old woman sustained facial injuries in a two-car collision last night (June 18).
The incident, involving a white Proton Saga FLX and a maroon Proton Wira, occurred in the vicinity of Kampung Belangai, Jalan Trusan.
Emergency services were alerted to the accident at 9.30 pm.
Firefighters from the Lawas station promptly arrived at the scene, where they discovered that all victims had already been extricated from the vehicles by nearby villagers.
Among them was the elderly woman who sustained facial injuries.
The firefighters assisted in lifting the injured woman into an ambulance and dealt with an oil spill caused by the collision.
