LUNDU: A total of 74 students here received school uniform voucher assistance from the Sarawak Foundation.
The voucher distribution ceremony was officiated by Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang at the Lundu District Office on Saturday.
“The importance of this lies not only in the comfort of attending school but also as a means to inspire them to pursue their dreams in the academic realm,” he said.
Billy reiterated the Sarawak government’s commitment, led by Premier Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, to support academically promising but financially challenged students, particularly those advancing to higher education.
This initiative includes coverage for tuition fees and necessary learning materials.
Also present were Lundu District Officer Gustian Durani and Lundu District Education Officer Kuswady Chil.
