MUKAH: A total of 744 food baskets under the National People’s Well-Being and Economic Recovery Package (Pemulih) were distributed to recipients on Monday.
Present to hand over the contribution was Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib.
When met, Hanifah, who is also Mukah Member of Parliament, hoped that the assistance would help ease the burden of those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The government always helps the people through assistance, especially the target group.
“I would like to thank all the parties involved in distributing these food baskets by adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set,” she said.
In the event, she also handed over special allocation grants to the Village Security and Development Committees (JKKK) of Kampung Kuala Lama, Badan Khairat Kematian Kuala Lama, surau as well as non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
