SADONG JAYA: A total of 750 participants took part in the Sadong Jaya Coastal Road Run 2023 that was held here on early yesterday (Oct 14) morning.
The participants involved were not only from villages within Sadong Jaya constituency area but also from various other areas.
Three categories were contested namely the 3km (Men & Women), 5km (Men & Women) and 10km (Men & Women).
The starting point for the run was held at Dewan Kampung Semera Lot and was officiated by Sadong Jaya assemblyman Datuk Ir Aidel Lariwoo, who is also the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development.
Also present were Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee, Acting Resident of Samarahan Anuar Daan, Asajaya District Officer Rais Ahmad and community leaders.
The programme was organised by Sadong Jaya Service Centre in collaboration with Batang Sadong Service Centre and the state government.
Attractive prizes were available to the top 10 runners in each category. First, second and third place winners in each category received cash, trophy and medal while other winners from fourth to 10th place in each category received cash prize and medal.
