SOME 793 out of 2,802 affordable housing and Spektra Permata House (RSP) units implemented by Housing Development Corporation (HDC) are expected to be delivered by year end.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas elaborated that 478 units are still on-going and 1,531 units are at various stages of implementation.

“These are state-funded projects under the 11th Malaysia Plan,” he said when delivering the Ministry of Local Government and Housing (MLGH) winding-up speech today.

He added that there are three on-going federal funded projects with 1,112 units under the Rakyat Housing Programme (PPR).

“Two projects with 651 units are scheduled to be completed by year end, while one project with 461 units is expected to be completed by 2023,” he said.

He added the state government has allocated RM11 million for the issuance of strata titles which will benefit 12,000 owners.

On the longhouse loan, Uggah said the ministry received an allocation of RM10 million this year from the federal government and RM50 million from the state government.

“A total of 339 pintu (households) have been approved under the federal contribution while 1,604 doors have been approved from the funds provided by the state.
