SIBU: Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (Perkim) Sibu branch held an Aidilfitri gathering which was attended by some 80 members.
Speaking at the event, coordinator of Perkim Sibu branch Aysha Shaikh Ismail thanked the members and invited guests for their presence.
She also called on Perkim members to foster friendships among them and to set aside their differences of opinions and backgrounds.
Aysha also congratulated the branch for having a building of its own which symbolised success. She also thanked a corporate figure Datuk Mohd Tufail Mahmud for his financial support and contributions to Perkim Sibu branch.
The gathering was made merrier with singing, dancing, lucky draws and “bermukun”.
Also present were Mohd Farouk Datuk Mohd Tufail, who represented Mohd Tufail, and chairperson of Perkim Sibu branch Datin Sharifah Zaidah Syed Abdul Aziz.
