SIBU: About 80 members of Sibu Journalists Association (SJA) and their family members attended the ‘Reporters’ Day’ dinner organised by the association at Paramount Hotel here, recently.
The dinner was an annual activity for SJA which was aimed at appreciating the roles of journalists and media practitioners.
During the function, children of SJA members in primary school, secondary school and institution of higher learning, also received incentives from SJA.
Other activities held were singing and lucky draws. Councillor Teo Boon Siew, businessman Simon Wee, president of SJA, Watt Zacchaeus, vice-president, Earl Anek and organising chairman who is also treasurer of SJA, Yii Souk Ming were among those present.
