MIRI: Nearly 800 participants, including children, braved the rain on Sunday, to take part in the second edition of AeroBig Day Sarawak 2024, held at the City Council field.
The event, which kicked off at 6.45 am, aimed to raise funds for the Persatuan Kebajikan Bantuan Komuniti Terpinggir Sarawak.
The event was graced by Chong Kong Min, who represented Miri mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang.
Despite the downpour, participants demonstrated strong community spirit and resilience, contributing to a cause that supports marginalised communities in Sarawak.
In a brief text of speech, Yii emphasised the significance of the event, stating, “This event is important to promote generosity and kindness among the members of our society, especially in helping those in need within our community.”
