KUCHING: About 85 participants from different public and private agencies attended a briefing on “New Approaches of Recognition Programme ” organised by the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak Region at MPC, Demak Laut, on Wednesday. The briefing was attended by the Director of MPC Sarawak Region ,Tengku Azmi Tengku Majid.
It was conducted by Muhammad Suffian Ahmad, the Consultant Officer from MPC Headqurters. According to Azmi, in line with the Malaysia Productivity Blueprint (MPB) 2017, which is aimed at improving national productivity, MPC has taken an initiative by introducing new approaches of recognition programme.
“The productivity improvement initiative comprises of Recognition of Environmental Quality Practice (QE/5S), Recognition of Lean Management, Recognition of Team Excellence Certificates (ICC), Recognition of Kaizen, Recognition of Business Excellence, Recognition of Productivity Linked Wage System (PLWS), Recognition of Productivity Success Measurement, and Recognition of Good Rules Practice (GRP Technical Expert), “It has been proven that the new approach is more holistic and comprises of the recognition of organisation and individuals involved in productivity improvement initiative,” said Azmi.
“I hope the company will continue with the implementation of the new initiative in order to achieve success and excellent performance.” he added.
The new approaches will be implemented in 2018. Suffian is currently going on a briefing tour to every MPC region throughout Malaysia.
