MIRI: The Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Chapter (MRC) on Friday donated 90 bottles of hand sanitisers to seven kindergartens in this district, to help fight the spread of Covid-19.

Those kindergartens benefitting from the gifts were Tadika Hikmah Krokop Miri; Tadika Bestari Cemerlang Desa Pujut 2; Tadika Sarjana Bintang Taman Permai 2; Tadika Cahaya Bintang Utara 1 Tudan; Tadika Cahaya Bintang Utara 2 Desa Indah 3; Tadika Cahaya Bintang Utara 3, in Senadin and Tadika Cahaya Bintang Utara 4, Permyjaya.

Presenting these contributions on behalf of MRC Miri was its deputy chairman Datuk Lee Kim Shin.

According to Lee who is also the state’s Minister of Transport, these kindergartens were among the beneficiaries of the hand sanitisers donated by Saraya Co Ltd, a leading hand hygiene expert in Japan.

Previously, the company had also donated a total 25,280 bottles of one litre hand sanitisers to MRC Miri Chapter for the distributions to schools, kindergartens, old folk home, orphanage complex, various government agencies, religious associations and the city council.
