MIRI: A total of 120 people registered for the Children’s Day Blood Donation drive organised by Miri Red Crescent Blood Donors Recruitment Committee and Miri Hospital Visitors Board at Boulevard Shopping Complex here, yesterday.
Of the number only 91 were successful. There were 27 first- time blood donors. Refreshments were sponsored by Miri Tai Poo Association, McDonalds and Yeo’s.
“On behalf of both organisations (Miri Hospital Visitors Board and Miri Red Crescent Blood Donors Recruitment Committee headed by Kho Yok Chong) I would like to thank all the blood donors, Organising team volunteers and sponsors for their strong support,” chairman of Miri Red Crescent Blood Donors Recruitment Organising Committee, Karambir Singh said.
The next Miri Red Crescent mass blood donation drive will be held at Boulevard Shopping Complex Level 3 on Sunday, 16 December.
