SRI AMAN:  Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP)   Simanggang branch recently donated  free glasses to 96  longhouse residents from Rumah Rebi, Rumah Mathew and Rumah Ndawi, Gran here.

The donations were made possible by the Women’s Wing of the branch.

“The branch is aware that there are rural residents who are experiencing problems with their eyesight  to the point where it is difficult for them to perform their daily tasks.

“There were eye checks for the deserving recipients,” said Ling Siew Hung, head of the Women’s Wing.

Assistant Minister of Community Well Being, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis presented the glasses to the recipients during the closing of the Gawai Dayak celebration  in Gran here.
