MIRI: Dennis Ngau (GPS-Telang Usan) has received a pat on the back from Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sarawak secretary Senator Alan Ling for assisting rural residents in his constituency in the PeKa B40 programme.

He recently organised a one-day programme to assist rural residents under his constituency for the free healthcare screening programme (PeKa B40) even though it was initiated by the PH federal government. Nearly 200 people from Telang Usan turned up for the programme.

Ling speaks to reporters on Tuesday night.

“Well done! I hope more GPS ‘wakil rakyat’ after this would come forward to emulate him  in the future,” said Ling when met on Tuesday night after attending a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony at a hotel here.

He explained that the PeKa B40 was mooted by the federal government to benefit those from the
low-income group (B40).

“We are a transparent government. If  you are not from PH, we will accommodate your requests (for PeKa B40) programme,” he said.
