KUCHING: A talk on ‘Sarawak Independence Referendum: Is There A Way Forward?’ will be held on December 10 from 7pm to 9pm at Kuching Park Hotel.
It will be held in conjunction with the International Human Rights Day which was declared by the United Nations on Dec 10, 1948.
Organising chairman Chris Goh revealed that the talk is organised by a group of activists known as ‘Sarawak Peoples’ Congress’.
He added that every human has inalienable basic rights – irrespective of race, colour, religion, gender, political affiliation, birth or other status.
“The three speakers are Dominique Ng, Robert Lau Hui Yew and Lina Soo.
“There will also be a plenary session moderated by Wilfred Yap where participants are invited to share their insights and concerns for the future of Sarawak,” he said.
With the presence of three lawyers, Goh assures participants that the evening will be an informative and participatory session.
At the end
of the session, there will be a Resolution passed which will be delivered to
the United Nations in Kuala Lumpur in commemoration of the 2019 International
Human Rights Day.
