SIMANGGANG: A total of RM9,000 of Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants were allocated to three associations, namely Simanggang Second Division United Hawkers Association, Simanggang Taxi Owners Association and Engkilili Teo Chew Association, last Saturday.
Each association received RM3,000 from the total allocation.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development assistant minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis officiated at the cheque presentation ceremony held at his constituency’s (Simanggang) service centre.
Francis, in his speech, reminded the associations’ trustee and committee members to utilise the grant for beneficial activities that could impact or benefit the members and local community.
