MIRI: The Malaysian Red Crescent Miri District’s Blood Donor Recruitment Committee (BDRC) will be organising a mass blood donation drive on Sunday (Dec 15).
The campaign is held in collaboration with the Lion Club of Miri Mandarin, Serakup Indu Dayak Sarawak, Miri Indian Association, Persatuan Berawan Sarawak and Moving Communities Team.
Registration will be from 9am to 1pm at level three of Boulevard Shopping Mall. The organisers aim to collect 80 pints from the campaign.
The purpose of the campaign is to ensure there is enough blood supply during the festive season.
Miri mayor Adam Yii will be guest of honour at the event.
Organising Chairman Karambir Singh urged more youths to come forward and register as blood donors.
It is estimated that about 8,000 pints are required every year by Miri Hospital. Those who wish to know more can contact Karambir at 016-8785500 .
