SERIAN: The St Theresa’s Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) here held a one-day dialogue session with the principal officers of the Village Church Committees (KGK) and the Basic Christian Communities (BCC) under the jurisdiction of the Parish last Saturday.
The dialogue— which aimed to foster better relationship and understanding — was held at the church’s hall and saw 300 participants.
The dialogue commenced after a prayer by outgoing Rector Father Paul Herry.
In his opening speech, Parish Pastoral Council chairman Dennis Sung gave a briefing on the council’s completed projects for the year and planned projects for 2020.
Sung also thanked everybody for helping to raise funds and hoped for similar support in the coming years, as well as Paul for his valuable advice, assistance and cooperation to the council.
He told the meeting that the Pastoral Centre Fund was launched in 2000 and that the centre was supposed to be built at the venue of the existing SK St Theresa nearby the church.
“Unfortunately, the project was forced to be put on hold due to the delayed relocation of the school,” he said.
In the dialogue, Pastoral Centre Fund vice chairman cum treasurer Anthony Taguk presented the centre’s treasury report, Alas Laseh presented on the parish’s Ecology Ministry and Idin Muu who is in charge of the parish’s Mission Development talked about the Million Leaders Mandate.
