MUKAH: Salihin Den is the new Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) Mukah branch chief effective Dec 10, 2019.
He succeeds Moss Baok, who will be transferred to a new location – yet to be determined by the ministry.
A simple duty handover ceremony which saw Moss handing over the documents to Salihin, and witnessed by other staff was held at the ministry’s office here yesterday.
Prior to the transfer, Salihin, 52, served in KPDNHEP Bintulu branch.
Sibu-born Salihin said he had been working in the ministry for 21 years and had served at a few locations.
“I have also served in Putrajaya, besides Sibu, Kuching and Bintulu,” he said at the handing over ceremony and get to know the media session at KPDNHEP office here yesterday.
Salihin, who is supported by 11 other staff, added that his predessor would still be in Mukah pending an official letter specifying the new location.
In the meantime, Moss would brief him on related matters.
Meanwhile, Moss, 42, who is from Miri, revealed that he had been serving in the ministry for 15 years.
He added that prior to his transfer to Mukah in 2015, he worked in Kapit and Miri.
