BINTULU: The body of a Myanmar man who has been missing for five days was discovered by a search and rescue team (SAR) at 10.23am yesterday.
The victim, 27-year-old Aung Thu, was last seen bathing in the sea at the Samalaju beach on the evening of Jan 15.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, the body was found at the beach about 2.5km from where he went missing.
The body has been taken to the Bintulu Hospital morgue.
