KUCHING: It is a nervous wait for 10 beauties vying for the Miss Cultural Harvest Festival 2020 title to be held on April 17 at the Sarawak Cultural Village.
The 10 are Sarvina Serose, 24 (Bidayuh), Noris Gaing, 25 (Bidayuh), Nurelyana Baharin, 18 (Malay), Vivian Wong Li Tin, 17 (Chinese/Bidayuh), Viviana Justin, 18 (Bidayuh), Crystal Carilyn Tepos, 27 (Bidayuh), Siti Nur Azelina Nizam, 23 (Malay), Siti Noradila Osman, 23 (Bidayuh/Malay) and Hanisha Ibrahim, 21 (Melanau).
They will be judged for their appearance, personality and talents.
They made it to the grand final after beating 30 others from 150 applications vetted by the organisers.
Organised by the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) as one of the programmes for the World Harvest Festival 2016 with support of the Ministry of Tourism Sarawak (MOT), festival director Zaini Zainuddin said the theme for this year’s pageant is Bidayuh culture.
The 22nd edition of the ethnic beauty pageant, previously known as Miss Fair & Lovely World Harvest Festival, seeks a winner who has the grace and poise, articulate and with a sound knowledge of Sarawak and its tourism-related wealth.
This year, the World Harvest Festival 2020 will be held at Sarawak Cultural Village from April 17 to 19. Among other highlights of the three-day festival besides the Grand Final of Miss Cultural Harvest Festival include the live staging of ‘Raja Sebrah & The Golden Bamboo’ and the Sape World Concert & Workshops.
