BINTULU: Two persons were injured in an accident at KM6, Jalan Bintulu-Miri.
The incident occurred around 11.30pm on Tuesday.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the injured were the drivers of the vehicles – a four-wheel drive (4WD) and a car.
“Both—a female driver aged 21 and a male driver aged 44—were rushed to Bintulu Hospital for medical treatment,” said Supt Alexson yesterday.
The impact sent both vehicles plunging into a drain on the left side of the road.
Preliminary investigation revealed that prior to the accident, both vehicles were heading towards KM6 from the city centre when the 4WD suddenly swerved into the other vehicle’s lane.
