BINTULU: A Perodua Kancil caught fire early yesterday morning nearby Tatau junction.
Both the driver and his passenger managed to escape from the car in the 6.45am incident.
One fire engine ferrying seven firefighters from Tatau fire station led by PBK II Azman Hamit were rushed to the scene after responding to an alert on the incident.
Prior to the incident, the duo was about to exit the Tatau junction when they saw smoke from the car’s engine compartment.
Fearing for their safety, they got out of the car immediately.
The car has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
