MIRI: A coffee shop owner lost RM14,000 after his car which was parked in front of his shop in Senadin here was driven away by a thief on Thursday afternoon.
The victim in his 30s discovered his car had gone missing at around noon.
He then started searching for the vehicle in nearby areas and found it an hour later.
“The vehicle was left with its engine still running at Jalan Curtin area, about one kilometre away from the victim’s coffee shop.
“However, the RM14,000 in cash which the victim left in the car was missing,” the sources said, adding that a report on the incident was lodged at Miri Central Police Station.
