MIRI: The flood relief centre in Mendamit Community Hall, which was opened since Sunday, was closed as of 9.00am yesterday.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat from Civil Defence Force, Major Ismail Mahedin said the relief centre that housed the evacuees from Rumah Panjang Asan, Kampung Semena and Kampung Lubuk Lasas were closed after the water receded and they were allowed to return home.
As of noon, 15 primary schools involving 1,199 pupils in Limbang, Miri and Bintulu were still closed.
