KUCHING: A government grant of RM50,000 was presented by Minister of Local Government , Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian to St. Basil Anglican Church at Batu Kawa near here.
Dr Sim presented the grant during a visit to a Parish Sale organised by the church yesterday.
Meanwhile, The Kuching Autistic Association Annual Charity Sales saw a total of 93 stalls from various organisations and individuals showing their support to the association.
The event was graced by Minister of Local Government , Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian and Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau chief, Wilfred Yap.
According to a press statement it is estimated that the Kuching Autistic Association managed to collect about RM230,000 from this year’s charity sales and food fair.
Dr Sim also presented the certificate of appreciation to all the participang stall operators during his visit.
The Kuching Austictis Association charity sales was held at the premises of the Association of Churches Sarawak, Jalan Stampin here, yesterday.
