KUCHING: State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas advised those seeking evaluation at the Covid-19 screening centre at the Sarawak Youth and Sports Complex here to show maturity in abiding by the guidelines.

“I would like to also advise those going there to practise social distancing and to wear face mask,” he said when visiting the Covid-19 screening centre at the Sarawak Youth and Sports Complex here yesterday.

Uggah who is also Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Corporate Affairs Assistant Minister Abdullah Saidol and Deputy State Secretary Datuk Ik Pahon.

He urged those with fever, coughing, breathing difficulties and flu to visit the centre to seek medical advice.

The centre has two sections – one to cater to those who are quite ill and another for those with slight fever.

The centre operates between 8am to 5pm daily.
