KUCHING: A 62-year-old man who was reported missing at an oil palm plantation at Jalan Gedong in Serian last Tuesday was found safe yesterday morning.

According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Gingan Dalot, from Kampung Semukoi ‘A’, Serian, was found about three kilometres from its search and rescue command post by several anglers around 10.15am.

The department said the victim who was tired and weak was taken to Serian Hospital for a medical checkup.

Last Tuesday morning, Gingan was said to have gone fishing and his family lodged a report at Serian Police Station when he failed to return home that evening.
