KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi has been appointed as secretary-general of the National Unity Ministry effective today.
Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali in a statement today said Wan Suraya, 51, who holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom has been in the civil service for 25 years.
Wan Suraya first joined the service on Feb 19, 1995 when she was appointed as an assistant director at the International Trade Division of the International Trade and Industry Ministry.
She has also served as the secretary-general of the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry and deputy secretary-general (Strategy and Monitoring) of the International Trade and Industry Ministry.
“She has extensive experience in the fields of international trade and industry, human resource management as well as investment and entrepreneurship.
“Hopefully, she will be able to discharge her duties and responsibilities in strengthening national unity and harmony,” Mohd Zuki said. – Bernama
