MUKAH: The Covid-19 situation in Mukah Division is under control, said Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.
According to her, based on the Health Department’s report, there are only two positive cases so far.
She said the two cases are from Igan and Matu, both from the Sri Petaling mosque tabligh cluster, and they had fully recovered.
“So far, the situation is under control and now with the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO), we hope we can contain the spread together, and I thank and congratulate all those involved,” she said during a press conference after chairing the Mukah Division Disaster Committee meeting on Covid-19 and MCO here yesterday.
According to her, there was one case of person under investigation (PUI), and the individual, who returned from Thailand, was currently under home quarantine.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, added that the Health Department also reported nine cases of H1N1 ― six persons from Dalat and three from Tanjung Manis who had returned from outside the state.
Meanwhile, she revealed that the Mukah Youth Camp here had been identified as a quarantine centre if there was a need for it.
Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, Mukah Division Resident Hamdiah Bakir, Mukah District officer Shafrie Saili, other heads and representatives departments and agencies attended the four-hour meeting.
