MARUDI: The village security and development committee (JKKK) of Kampung Melayu Bakong and the Al Munir Mosque management had provided food aid to 57 needy families from the neighbourhood.

The food aid was distributed to each household representative at the area’s multipurpose hall.

Fully funded by the committee members of the JKKK and the mosque management team, the food aid was part of the efforts to ease the burden of the worst affected groups following the implementation of the movement control order since March 18.

It is learnt that this aid was to complement the emergency food aid provided by the state government.
