MIRI: Flood water managed to make its way into a 100-door longhouse of Kampung Long Atip, Apoh Baram here following heavy rain since Tuesday evening.
According to State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement, the continuous rain has caused water levels to rise since 3am yesterday, affecting 100 longhouse folk.
Overflowing water from a nearby river began entering the longhouse at 6.15am.
The statement added that so far, no evacuation was carried out.
Meanwhile, another low-lying area, Long San, was also reported to have been inundated with flood water.
Miri Bomba chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said that the water levels at the area began to rise due to the non-stop rain.
