BINTULU: Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Bintulu campus began sending its students back to their respective hometowns last Saturday.

Five buses took 88 students to five destinations, namely Miri, Sibu, Betong Mukah, Sarikei and Sri Aman.

The first group of 18 students to Saratok and Betong left here as early as 11.40am on Saturday while the next group of 24 students left for Miri at 12.05pm.

The third group of 12 students to Mukah left at 12.40pm while the fourth group of 22 students left for Sibu and the last group of 12 students left for Sarikei and Sri Aman.

Before they left, the buses were sanitised as a precautionary measure.

This is a procedure that must be followed before and after sending the students home.
