KUALA LUMPUR: BookDoc has partnered with China’s technology-enabled healthcare company, WeDoctor, to introduce the Global Consultation and Prevention Centre (GCPC), which offers 24/7 real-time online medical services, in joint efforts to fight Covid-19.
In a joint statement, BookDoc said that the platform supports both English and Chinese languages, which brings together medical resources from home and abroad, to expand borderless healthcare.
“We are heartened by the collaboration with WeDoctor, to introduce another digital channel to fight against the pandemic, and hope that life can return to some semblance of normality.
“We believe that partnerships will play an important role in achieving development and growth impact, meeting the business needs of a rapidly changing world, while at the same time, improve healthcare delivery, deliver high-value care and make equitable and affordable care a noble purpose,” said BookDoc founder Datuk Chevy Beh in the statement.
According to the statement, GCPC provides real-time assistance such as online consultation, psychological assistance, Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation, and prevention guidelines.
BookDoc and WeDoctor will explore partnerships in medical tourism and devise strategies to gain a competitive advantage to reach out to medical tourists from around the globe, the statement added.
