BETONG: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas went to the ground to monitor the beautification project of Pekan Spaoh Waterfront.

 Work on the project resumed after it was put on hold for almost two months following the implementation of the movement control order (MCO).

Uggah, who is also Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development Minister, monitored the project during his walkabout session from Bukit Saban to Spaoh yesterday.

Prior to that, Uggah, who is also Bukit Saban assemblyman, conducted a discussion on matters raised in his constituency before presenting a cheque to Masjid Darul Syifa Spaoh chairman Wan Setia Wan Akil.

Also present were political secretary to the chief minister, Dr Richard Rapu, Spaoh Subdistrict officer, Lister Clement Guwie and Betong District Council member cum Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Bukit Saban vice chief Cr Abang Suhordie Abang Zaini.
