MIRI: A man was found dead in a budget hotel room at Jalan Bendahara yesterday morning.
The lifeless body of the 41-year-old was discovered around 9am by the hotel staff.
A team of medical staff from Miri hospital and Miri police were immediately called to the scene.
“The body was found lying on the bed with drug paraphernalia next to him,” said Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah when contacted yesterday.
The man was believed to had been dead since Friday.
According to sources, the hotel staff knocked on the man’s door on Friday evening but there was no response.
The case has been classified as sudden death by the police as there were no signs of violence.
