OYA: The people here are urged to attend an education and career expo to be held at SMK Oya here this Thursday.
The event called, ‘Majlis Perasmian Ekspo Pendidikan Dan Kerjaya & Hari Permuafakatan Ibu Bapa & Guru SMK Oya will begin at 8.30am.
According to a teacher of the school, Andrew Telasai Sekoi, the event is jointly organised by Dalat Foundation, Sarawak Foundation and UBK (Guidance & Counseling Unit) of SMK Oya.
Minister of Welfare, Women and Community Wellbeing cum Dalat State Assemblywoman, Datuk Hajah Fatimah Abdullah is expected to officiate at the function.
Among the activities of the day would be 2017 Education Expo & Career Exhibition, Talk by TEGAS Chief Operation Officer, Awangku Marali Pengiran Mohamed and the presentation of SPM result slips to candidates of the school.
Beside Fatimah, the school principal Malihah Bt Sirat is also scheduled to speak at the event.
