BAU: A 28-year-old man was detained for drug abuse near a commercial building at midnight yesterday.
District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said the man was spotted acting suspiciously.
Police detained him for inspection at 12.10am.
“A body check was conducted and we found a straw containing 0.15g of crystalline substances believed to be syabu in his sling bag,” Poge said in a statement.
He added that the suspect also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
He has been remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 12 (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1) of the same Act.
