MUKAH: New Sarawak Tribune (NST) and its sister paper Suara Sarawak (SS) are back in the local market after about four months of absence following the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO) on March 18 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Newspaper vendor Kang Ah Sia said he started receiving the two papers last Thursday, adding that both newspapers were flown direct from Kuching just like prior to the MCO.
“However, I only received the newspapers after mid-day compared to about 8.30am previously. Maybe it’s due to the change in the present flight schedule,” he told NST last Saturday.
Both newspapers were also available at other agents or stationery shops here.
Kang said local readers have been asking about and waiting for NST and SS for the past few months.
