KUCHING: It was not a regular ‘open mic’ event for the state’s poets and authors as they had to perform online during the Sarawak Authors Highlight programme last weekend (July 18 and 19).
Organised by the Sarawak State Library (Pustaka Sarawak), it was telecasted live via its Facebook and YouTube accounts.
Some of the performances were pre-recorded and posted on Pustaka’s Facebook page according to specific dates and times.
The programme was held not only to celebrate Sarawak Day 2020, but also to promote local poetry and authors to the world.
Among the authors, poets and artists involved were Awang Kelana Awang Hassan, Shamsul Idzam Jamil, Mohamad Faizal Jamil, and Mohamad Fauzol Bahron.
