KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kuching branch youth assistant publicity chief Eric Tay Tze Kok and his team distributed face masks at local markets here today (July 31).
The team visited Padungan town and the Petanak Market to give out face masks to business owners, operators and the public.
“The distribution of the face masks is in line with the government’s policy which requires everyone to wear masks in public places starting tomorrow (Aug 1) in order to curb the Covid-19 pandemic,” Tay said in a statement today (July 31).
Tay, who is also the SUPP Youth Central SME Bureau chief, urged the public to continue complying with the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
“As Kuching district is the only red zone in the country, all of us must work together to fight this crisis.
“Awareness and prevention of this pandemic must continue and the SOPs must be strictly adhered to so that Kuching can return to its previous state and everyone can live a worry free life ,” he said.
