MIRI: Police here are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man from Taman Permai, Jalan Dato Permaisuri, Bandar Baru Permyjaya.
The victim was found lying motionless inside his bedroom by family members early Monday (Aug 3).
The man was pronounced dead at Miri Hospital by medical staff after he was rushed there around 8.30am, said Miri OCPD ACP Lim Meng Seah on Wednesday (Aug 5).
“For now, the incident is being classified as sudden death.
“Our investigators are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
“That morning, the deceased’s mother found him lying face down inside his bedroom, foaming from the mouth and unresponsive. They immediately rushed him to Miri Hospital,” elaborated ACP Lim.
He added that the day before the tragedy, the deceased had gone to a friend’s place for a drinking session at Lorong 4 Tudan flat.
“After the drinking session, his friends helped send him back, but halfway, because they did not know where his house is at, they dropped him off about 300m before reaching his home.”
