KUCHING: State Social Welfare Department (JKMS) paid a visit to Hope Place Charity Centre at TT3, Tabuan Tranquillity last Friday.
Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan expressed his gratitude to the department for their visit.
According to Wan, the department plans to make an annual visit to the non-governmental organisation (NGO) to further understand their current situation in helping the needy, as well as to find out the problems and difficulties faced.

Due to the recovery movement control order (RMCO), Hope Place will not be accepting any second-hand items for now.
Currently, the NGO takes care of more than 190 needy families.
