SRI AMAN: Ninety students here received assistance via the Poor Students’ Provident Trust Fund (KWAPM) in a simple presentation ceremony on Friday.

Present to handover the assistance was Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.

The Simanggang assemblyman also presented e-Kasih assistance worth RM100 to 17 eligible recipients.

“This reflects the Parent Teacher Association (PTA)’s commitment in easing the burden of parents or guardians who are less fortunate as support of sending students to school,” he said at the event.

He was also appreciative towards the state government who have been assisting the local schools through their elected representatives in the form of financial assistance.

Francis admitted that in matters of school excellence, he did not mind to contribute allocations for the sake of human capital excellence.

In the same event, Francis also approved a minor rural project (MRP) allocation worth RM20, 000 for the year 2021 to the PTA of SK Sri Aman to fund the association’s future activities.
