SIBU: Police on Tuesday (Sept 1) rescued three foreign women suspected to be victims of human trafficking during an “Ops Noda” raid on a reflexology and health centre at Jalan Tuanku Osman here.

District police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit told that a team of Sibu Crime Investigation Division (CID) conducted the raid around 6.30pm.

“During the raid, they found three Vietnamese women aged 30 to 36, along with the premises owner and keeper inside.

“The team then arrested the 22-year-old owner and 35-year-old keeper (both are males), who were at the counter when the raid was held,” he said in a statement.

Several items seized from the premises included RM200 cash, a used condom, two key chains, a notebook and a padlock.

Stanley pointed out that all individuals were taken to Sibu Central Police Station for further action and investigation.
