SARIKEI: The Kembara Jalur Gemilang motorcycle convoy enlivened the Sarikei District Merdeka@Community programme organised by the Information Department (JaPen) Sarikei at Rumah Panjang Gundak, Sungai Paoh on Saturday (Sept 5).
The “Info on Wheels” (IOW) Merdeka convoy team started their journey from Jakar town here and arrived at the programme location. They were greeted in welcome by Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii and other invited guests.
The event included the handing over of Jalur Gemilang to community leaders and representatives around Sarikei, a video screening of JaPen Sarikei IOW Merdeka Mobile Unit, and singing of the “Jalur Gemilang” song.
Also present were JaPen Sarawak director Swady Guliling, Sarikei district officer Christopher Ranggau Unting and Sarikei district information officer Joseph James.
