KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) started the fallout with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) when it pinched Datuk Masir Kujat from Parti Rakyat Sarawak, said a political secretary to the chief minister.
Charles Chad Nissom said PSB should realise that pinching a GPS coalition leader would be equally felt by the coalition party leaders.
“That was when GPS’ ‘touch one, touch all’ comradeship was tested and felt by the coalition’s component parties,” he said in a statement yesterday.
He noted that the Sri Aman MP resigned from PRS on March 7 last year to join PSB claiming the party was truly multiracial and could unite Sarawakians.
“But truly, behind the scenes, could that be his real intention and cause? It would be hard to believe there was no enticement best known to himself that lured him to join PSB.”
Chad was responding to PSB Youth chief Johnical Rayong’s statement accusing GPS of encroaching into their territory first by accepting Datuk Dr Jerip Susil into GPS in October last year.
He said PSB should understand the chronology and not bark at the wrong tree.
