KAPIT: Two temporary evacuation centres in Kapit have officially closed after the flood receded on Thursday (Sept 17).
According tothe State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), 84 people from Rumah Philimon, Kampung Muhibbah and Kampung Baru Kapit have returned to their respective homes.
“The victims have returned home after being evacuated to Kapit Stadium around 6.15pm on Wednesday (Sept 16)
“The teemporary evacuation centre is officially closed on Thursday around 10am,” the statement said.
In Song, the second temporary cvacuation centre at SK Nanga Embuau was officially closed after sheltering 44 people from Rumah Kulleh.
“All victims successfully returned to their respective homes and the temporary centre is closed around 12pm on Wednesday,” the statement added.
